Nerd Love
I grew up nerdy before nerd and geek meant what they do today. I collected comics as a kid, quoted Monty Python, played with Legos when they were just blocks, played D&D, I still have my original Atari with the fake walnut console and my first computer was a VIC-20 so if you wanted to play a game on it you had to type up a few hundred of lines of BASIC. Although I always had geek interests, it was just a person enjoyment, I never embraced it until I saw Firefly on TV, that's when I jumped in the deep end.
